Hello beautiful people, as you can guess by the title, today I am going to be talking about my skin care and how I achieved a pimple and zit free face.

Before we start, lets talk about my facial skin a little bit more. I have an oily to combination skin. I also sweat a lot not even kidding specially my forehead region, which makes my face a breeding ground for bacteria and fungus to play around. Therefore in order to achieve a clear skin you HAVE to understand your skin type.

To get a clear skin we must attack the root of the problem because if we don’t, no matter how much money you are willing to spend on the products, the zits and acne are going to come back. Sometimes diet is the main issue. Some people react to certain elements in their diet without even releasing it. For example; My skin borderline reacts to dairy product and my stomach as well as my skin high key reacts to egg protein which causes cramps and if I continue to eat egg anyway my face breaks out into tiny bumps and rashes all over my face. So yeah if you start having any acne problem for no reason look into your diet.

Now lets talk about my facial skin history regarding zits and acne. Growing up I never suffered from acne, however I always had a couple of pimples and zits popping up one after another specially around my nose, chin and forehead. I never had a day when I could say my face is pimple free. The only time I suffered from acne is because of a makeover which was required in an interview process, in which my skin either reacted to the product or the makeup brush as the makeup artist was using the same brush on every other girl in the room. It started with tiny bumps over my jaw line, chin , cheek and temple and turned into a full-blown acne and it got so bad I couldn’t ignore it anymore.

My skin care routine

Okay now, lets talk about how I actually achieved clear skin. I developed a simple two-step night-time routine and follow it through without missing a day specially during summers.

The products that I use are:

  • A glycerine soap ( I use the brand pears)
  • Aloe vera gel ( I use the brand patangali )

aloe vera

Before going to bed I splash my face with cold water and apply the glycerine soap all over my face and then rinse my face with water. Glycerine soaps can be used on skin as it much gentler than the other soaps therefore can be used by people with dry and sensitive skin. Its helps maintain the natural pH of the skin and acts as humectant i.e. it helps minimizing the water loss due evaporation in oily skin. Hence, keeping the skin hydrated.

However, there can sometimes be side effects, which is very rare. But if the soap causes redness or irritation stop using it.

Then after cleaning my face and patting my face dry with a face towel. I apply the aloe-vera gel all over my face even on eyebrows and eyelashes.

The properties of aloe vera are not hidden. It’s antibacterial and helps kill the bacteria causing pimples and zits. Its great in treating inflammation and redness. It also helps in new cell regeneration therefore helps in fading the acne and pimple marks, no joke. I  have been using it for a while now and my old acne marks are gone.

Then I go to bed and sleep. Yes, that’s it! Done.

I have been following these two steps religiously for over a year now and the results are amazing.

I hope you give this routine a try and let me know how it worked for you. Have a nice day xo
